Dining Areas

Tall French doors lead to the lake view sunroom
with library and wrap around 48 feet of glassed dining areas.
Early 1900 wicker furniture complements a conversation circle.
We have a favourite corner couch guaranteed to invite mid-afternoon power naps.

Seasonal outdoor dining on the screened 14 foot "Perch" gazebo complete with wrought iron and wicker overlooks the sheltered boathouse swimming area and the perennial gardens - rock walled and tiered.

Breakfast dining in the open air "rock pier" gazebo is an experience. Cool lake breezes on a sultry summer day make this a favourite spot for crafts or table games. Breakfast dining on the dock or boat house top is always popular. Two umbrella tables are close to freely flowing sweet spring water in unending supply and there is access to ice in the boathouse refrigerator for guest's convenience.

An original oak dining set, lakeside view, can expand to seat 10. You may chose to dine at the walnut parquet dining set, lakefront. An intimate "anniversary" breakfast for two, fireside is another option.

"Thank you for the wonderful sleep. We just love your home and the wonderful lake, woods and everything else! We will take great memories back to New Zealand. The Sunflower Room is so pretty. Wonderful hospitality, the prettiest lake in Canada, a privilege to be here. I hope the photos do this place justice... the chipmunks and 3 deer that bounded down the path added to the excitement."
Laurie and Christine Bedford, Stanhouse Bay, Auckland New Zealand September 2003

"Woodland Springs is now an enlarged visual paradise of glass and decks overlooking a vista of blue water, rocks and pine trees. There is a raised outdoor gazebo perch morning room jutting out and overlooking the water. It is tastefully decorated in chintz and wrought iron. There is also the fully glassed indoor porch lakeside with comfortable rattan chairs, and a comfy living room strewn with couches, sofas and inviting chairs; a huge TV, old piano and books for relaxation and escape. The Canadian bison rug on the floor is often mistaken for a huge Muskoka bear. Cheerful hubs of guests become aquainted in this living room's relaxed atmosphere hugging the open hearth. My bedroom was decorated in country antiques with plenty of storage and the bed was firm. Other bedrooms had heirloom hand sewn quilts nestled on comfy beds and all had chairs for reading. Two guest bathrooms were shared and were filled with plenty of fluffy towels, gels and shampoos."
